The National Educators’ Institute (NEI) provides a centralized and safe environment for the professional learning and conversations of Bermuda’s public and private school educators, counselors and mentors.
Educators and counselors of all levels gather at NEI to engage in and benefit from professional learning for professional growth and ultimately student success.
PEDAGOGY & PRACTICE
Educators collaborate in varied manners to gain expansive knowledge and in depth skills in quality teaching practices that they identify as imperative to their success.

SOCIAL EMOTIONAL
Seminars and workshops on effective research based skills and tools to enhance counselor practice and to encourage educators sensitivities to student’s social-emotional development. Some of the topics are:

RESEARCH & SCHOLARSHIP
ACTION RESEARCH (AR)
NEI equips educators and school leaders with the tools to develop and implement Action Research to improve:
- classroom practice
- School wide improvement
The school wide approach includes:
- Assisting individual schools to design action research to facilitating action research
- Facilitating AR consortiums for schools to address common areas of disciplined inquiry.
VOICES IN EDUCATION
We publish Bermuda’s only Peer Reviewed Journal of Education
SUMMER INSTITUTE
SOCIAL ISSUES SYMPOSIUM
An annual issues based symposium for educators, counselors and mentors focusing on issues within our community that impact and challenge some black males.
BROTHERS AS SCHOLARS
The Brothers as Scholars Programme provides participating students with skills, knowledge, attitudes and tools for lifelong success. The areas of focus are:
